In 2011, the Faculty of Science was established, comprising departments in Molecular Biology and Genetics, Mathematics, and Statistics. The Departments of Molecular Biology and Genetics and Mathematics have begun accepting undergraduate students since Fall 2012.

In 2016, the Biotechnology Department was established and started admitting undergraduate students.

In 2019, the Department of Mathematics merged with the Department of Statistics, resulting in the closure of the Statistics Department at the faculty. The Department of Computer Technology and Information Systems was established that same year and subsequently started admitting undergraduate students.
