Roles and Responsibilities

The Faculty Quality Committee is responsible for:

  • Preparing the strategic plan of the faculty.
  • Evaluating academic and administrative services in line with the strategic plan and targets, improving quality, and supporting accreditation processes.
  • Preparing the Faculty Internal Evaluation Report.
  • Organizing preparations for external quality assessments by independent organizations and providing support for certification and post-evaluation processes.
  • Communicating the decisions of the Quality Committee to relevant departments, programs, and sub-units, supporting implementation, and monitoring outcomes.
  • Submitting an annual activity report to the Quality Committee by the end of January.
  • Coordinating the Faculty External Stakeholder Advisory Board and involving external stakeholders in quality assurance processes.
  • Performing other duties as defined in this directive and by the Quality Committee.

    Bu yönerge, Senatonun 20.12.2023 tarihli ve 2023/20-20 sayılı kararı ile kabul edilmiş olup 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılından itibaren yürürlüğe girmiştir.

    GÖREV TANIMI ve SORUMLULUKLARI

     

    • Öğrencilerin staj çalışmalarını düzenlemek ve yürütmek üzere bölümlerde bir staj komisyonu kurulur. Fakültelerde ve Yüksekokullarda bölüm staj komisyonları, lisans programlarında bölüm başkanınca görevlendirilen biri başkan olmak üzere, en az 3 öğretim elemanından oluşur. Meslek yüksekokullarında bölüm staj komisyonu, bölüm başkanınca görevlendirilen bir başkan ve her bir programın staj koordinatörü olmak üzere en az 3 öğretim elemanından oluşur.
    • Bölüm staj komisyonları bölüm başkanına karşı sorumludur.
    • Komisyonun görev süresi 3 yıldır.
    • Bölüm staj komisyonu, öğrencilerin işyerlerinde yapacakları stajları planlar, öğrencilerin staj yapacakları işyerlerini kendileri bulmaları halinde stajların bu yönergede belirtilen hususlar dahilinde uygulanmasını sağlar.
    • Komisyon öğrencilerin stajlarına ilişkin tarih ve süre değişikliğini, staj iptalini bölüm başkanlığı aracılığıyla dekanlığa/müdürlüğe bildirir.
    • Bölüm Staj Komisyonları her öğrencinin staj dosyasını inceler, yapılan stajın kabul/başarılı ya da reddi/başarısız konusunda karar verir.
    • Komisyonun sekreterlik işleri bölüm sekreterliğince/birim öğrenci işlerince yürütülür.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures adaptation and exemption procedures of students admitted through placement programs such as horizontal transfer, vertical transfer, re-admission via national exams, central placement, additional quotas, and summer school are carried out in accordance with the Bartın University Exemption and Adaptation Directive.
  • Evaluates horizontal transfer applications.
  • Organizes seminars each semester introducing double major and minor programs to students.
  • Reviews applications of double major and minor students and determines eligible candidates.
  • Monitors course registrations of double major and minor students.
  • Provides end-of-semester notifications to students who fail to meet GPA requirements in double major or minor programs.
  • Monitors academic performance of engineering completion students and informs them one or two semesters before potential dismissal.
  • Checks course compatibility and approves course registrations for students attending summer school.
  • Reviews main principles of exemption and adaptation processes annually and submits recommendations to the department board.
  • Prepares a workflow plan to finalize exemption and adaptation procedures as quickly as possible after applications reach the department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guides international students regarding all student affairs processes during registration and throughout their academic period by coordinating with relevant university units.
  • Organizes orientation programs for newly admitted international students and informs them about social support resources, opportunities, and conditions.
  • Provides counseling services to help international students solve personal and social problems, make realistic decisions, develop their capacities, adapt to their environment, and improve academically, culturally, and socially.
  • Prepares informational and promotional materials for international students.
  • Provides guidance on campus life, accommodation, residence permits, and healthcare services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The purpose of this commission is to design and maintain the Faculty’s and its sub-units’ web pages and social media accounts in a way that meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders and enhances national and international visibility. Its responsibilities include:

  • Establishing user-friendly and well-structured web pages and social media accounts for the Faculty and its sub-units,
  • Ensuring consistent, accurate, and comprehensive content delivery in multiple languages, especially English, across all units,
  • Publishing departmental news, announcements, and events promptly on web pages,
  • Sharing accurate, informative, and promotional content via social media accounts,
  • Collaborating with other university units in social media activities,
  • Preparing content and visual materials for news and social media posts.

The commission is responsible for planning and coordinating events within the Faculty. Its duties include:

  • Reviews agenda items of Academic Department Boards in terms of compliance with measurement and evaluation techniques and provides feedback,
  • Designs survey processes, including timing and evaluation methods, and submits them to the academic board,
  • Prepares, administers, evaluates, and reports instructor evaluation surveys; monitors course files and reports deficiencies,
  • Determines and applies methods to measure and evaluate program objectives and learning outcomes,
  • Analyzes evaluation results and reports them to the Quality and Accreditation Commission,
  • Maintains coordination and communication with the Quality and Accreditation Commission.
